Two things are very important to the boars: an environment where they can hide and water. Otherwise, they adapt to their environment quickly and are not particularly demanding. The females are not called wild boars, they are called sows. When they are pregnant they dig a hole. This hole is lined well so the babies feel comfortable. The young are called shoats. Wild boars are omnivorous. They eat roots, acorns, chestnuts, walnuts, bananas, fish, crabs and clams. They eat everything they can find.
