Each item is embellished with stars and wavy stripes. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The mirror bezel is signed Melissa Made in England. The base has a stylish engine turned design. An immaculate velour puff is included.

To see the true reflection of this set please look at the finish on the lipstick case. The cylindrical shape of the lipstick tube is catching the light enough to present an accurate image. Each item is finished in the most glorious golden protective layer.

The comb is fashioned to resemble tortoise shell. 

The whole set benefits from a gilt lacquered finish and so it will not tarnish or need to be cleaned.

The interior base of the hard case is lined with crimson velvet placed over custom made recesses. The interior lid is lined with cream coloured satin which has the Melissa brand name emblazoned in gothic script. The case measures 14.5 cm x 12.5 cm. Total weight 383.4 grams.

This Melissa compact is suitable for use as a handbag mirror and also with pressed foundation pans measuring 67mm diameter.
