The library features large thumbnails to make finding the right match even easier. The MC400E can handle designs up to 200,000 stitches. If you are looking for something else, you can design your own patterns and transfer them to your machine with a flash drive (not included).
Built-in Needle Threader
The Memory Craft 400E features a built-in needle threader, removing the guesswork, near-misses, and frustration! No more struggling to thread a needle by hand! Effortlessly thread your machine needle in seconds without straining your eyes. The needle threader can be used with a size 11 to 14 needle and thread weights between 50 and 90. Using 30-weight or thicker threads with the needle threader is not recommended.
EMBROIDERY EDITING
Customize your embroidery as much as you want with all the editing features packed into the 400E. You can resize, combine, duplicate, flip, arc, group, drag & drop, zoom, trace, and pick your colors. This embroidery machine also allows you to program jump thread trimming, has flexible stitch traveling by units of 1, 10, and 100, and has an auto-return post-thread break.
BOBBIN WINDER
The MC400E includes a built-in bobbin winder with a plate and cutting blade. Plus, it will automatically stop winding once the bobbin is full. This handy tool makes it easier to swap out your bobbins, especially with the bobbin sensor letting you know you are getting low. The top-loading, full rotary hook bobbin can be accessed with the push of a button on the needle plate.
EMBROIDERY FIELD
Depending on the size and complexity of your design, Janome's Memory Craft 400E can embroider between 400 and 860 stitches per minute. It has a maximum embroidery area of 7.9" by 7.9", so you should have plenty of area to embroider most projects. You can also upload your own .jef files with a USB drive.
ONE-TOUCH BUTTONS
Besides the LCD touch screen, the Memory Craft 400E also offers 2 convenient one-touch buttons: the start/stop button and the thread cutter button. You can quickly start/stop the machine at the touch of a button (this button turns red when the machine is running and green when it's stopped). When you have finished sewing, press the thread cutter button and allow the machine to do the work for you.

Janome America, Inc. will ensure your machine's performance for 25 years from when the machine is purchased. Coverage is limited to repair or necessary replacement of parts caused by defects in quality and materials. Faults in electrical components will be for five years. One year of free labor by an Authorized Janome Retailer is included, usually by the dealership where you purchased your machine.
